Speaking at the National Consortium for Academics and Sports

I am honored to be presenting at the NCAS national conference next month in Orlando, Florida.
http://www.ncasports.org/conference_about.htm

My topic will be: "What To Do After The Cheering Stops"
I will be addressing some of the issues that athletes face as they participate in their sport and work towards their degrees.

Here is the mission of NCAS:
"The National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) is an ever-growing organization of colleges, universities and individuals. The mission of the NCAS is to create a better society by focusing on educational attainment and using the power and appeal of sport to positively affect social change."

Director Spike Lee will be one of the speakers as well. I hope to post some pictures of Spike and I when I get back.

Million Dollar Baby (The Movie)

I just had a chance to see the movie,"Million Dollar Baby". What a movie! Totally different from what I expected. It is much more than a sports movie. Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, and Hillary Swank, give Oscar winning performances. I predict Best Picture and Best Lead Actress for this film.

This movie moved into one of my all time favorites.
